Immediately after their other Recently launched with The Darkside Detective, mobile porting studio Akupara is bringing Dusklight Studios’ turn-based roguelike deck builder Zoeti to iOS and Android. Take on the role of heroine Valentina as she fights to save the people of Zoeti.

Zoeti is a deck-building roguelite, but don’t turn away just yet! Yes, it seems to be a particularly popular genre at the moment, but Zoeti has a twist that is sure to surprise fans and draw in skeptics. Instead of collecting custom cards, you have a deck of regular playing cards that you then use in pairs and combine to activate abilities.

So if you’re not a fan of learning a whole deck of custom cards, this is a lot more familiar. And for fans of the deck-building genre, it will test your skill with regular cards as well. Since deck builders seem to be pretty popular right now, we’re excited to see a major twist on the formula.

We’ve said it before, but it’s always exciting to see games like Zoeti come to mobile. After finding an audience on PC, we think their move to mobile shows that they recognize the potential to expand that audience even further.
