After three women were killed in a house near London, British police are searching for a man who was allegedly armed with a crossbow.
Hertfordshire Police said 26-year-old Kyle Clifford was wanted in connection with the suspected triple murder.
Chief Superintendent Jon Simpson of Hertfordshire Police said it was believed Clifford was targeting the women, who were related to each other.
“The manhunt also involves armed police and specialist search teams who are responding urgently to this horrific incident in which a crossbow is believed to have been used, and possibly other weapons,” Simpson said on Wednesday.
Police said the three women, aged 25, 28 and 61, were found seriously injured in a house in Bushey, northwest of London, on Tuesday evening.
Police and ambulances tried to save her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Police did not disclose whether Clifford, who is from London, had any connection with the women.
Clifford may still be armed and the public has been warned not to approach him.
“Kyle, if you see or hear this, please contact the police,” Simpson said.
