A teenager died when he drove a suspected stolen car into a power pole.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Woodstock Rd and Kyeena Dr in Woodstock on the New South Wales south coast after an accident was reported at around 6.45am on Sunday.

When police arrived, they found the car, which had been reported stolen from an address in Sussex Inlet shortly after midnight on Sunday, crashed into a power pole.

The teenage driver was treated on site by paramedics but could not be resuscitated.

A male juvenile passenger was flown to Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick in critical condition.

Police have launched a manhunt for two other passengers who allegedly fled the scene before police arrived.

A crime scene has been secured while police continue their investigation into the accident.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
