Housing costs in WA are rising at their slowest pace in over two decades, with stabilising prices providing some relief to the state’s struggling construction sector.
After years of unprecedented growth, WA saw a 2 percent increase in the 12 months to June, according to CoreLogic’s Cordell Construction Cost Index – the lowest annual change in construction costs since the 12 months to September 2002 (1.8 percent).
