In a viral video on TikTok, a giant saltwater crocodile attempted to escape from Broome Crocodile Park.
Hair-raising footage of the aquatic reptile, filmed at the Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park in Broome, went viral on TikTok on Monday (July 1) after the giant saltwater crocodile frightened onlookers by attempting to climb the fence of its enclosure.
“He obviously wants his food now,” the goalkeeper can be heard saying in the video.
“When he climbs into the feeding pen and the doors open, you have to run. That’s what I will do.”
Tourist Sophia Armstrong filmed the crocodile’s major escape attempt, during which the animal frightened the crowd as it tried to climb over the fenced enclosure.
Since the clip was released, it has been viewed over 200,000 times worldwide, with viewers amazed by the reptile’s agility.
“I don’t want to alarm anyone, but they climb fences,” Ms Armstrong joked in her TikTok post.
Viewers flocked to the comments section to share their funny anecdotes and comments.
“Hahaha, his little legs! He’s so cute,” one said.
“He needs a pet, he just wants to cuddle,” commented another.
“This looks like I’m trying to get out of the pool,” joked one user.
Unfortunately for the crocodile, a park employee quickly thwarted the crocodile’s plan by forcing the reptile back into its enclosure before it could escape to freedom.
