A man has died in a car accident. The alleged driver must face trial.
The man, who was over 80 years old, was hit by a Volkswagen station wagon on Colo Road in Colo Vale in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales at around 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
He was treated by paramedics but was pronounced dead at the scene; his official identification is still pending.
A 46-year-old man was charged with dangerous driving causing death and his driving license was confiscated.
He is due to appear in Picton Local Court on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, police are still searching for the driver after a 79-year-old man was killed in a suspected hit-and-run accident in western Sydney on Sunday.
On Tuesday afternoon, police launched a new appeal for information, looking for the driver of a blue Toyota Camry who they believe was involved in the accident on Abell Road in Melonba.
