The local stock market has reached further record highs, with the ASX200 trading above 8,000 for the first time amid the impact of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
At midday on Monday (AEST), the S&P/ASX200 index was 71.8 points or 0.9 percent higher than usual at 8,031.1, while the broader All Ordinaries rose 68.7 points or 0.84 percent to 7,274.2.
