- Torchlight: Infinite Season 6 arrives on October 25th
- It's called The Frozen Canvas and will introduce a new character, Selena
- XD Games also says it will bring a new way to play
XD Games has revealed some details about the sixth season of Torchlight: Infinite. It's called The Frozen Canvas and will start on October 25th. From that name, you already know that you're in for snow-covered areas and temperatures that drop below what is comfortable for most people. Not me, though. I always hope for a thrill all year round. It makes being inside so much more welcoming.
Anyway, enough of me complaining about temperatures above 7 degrees Celsius. We're here to discuss Torchlight: Infinite. According to XD, season six will introduce a completely new way to play the game, asking players to put down their weapons and pick up a paintbrush instead. That's all they've said about it for now, but it definitely intrigued me.
On top of that, a new hero is on the way. Her name is Selena, a Wide Whisperer and musician capable of switching between two forms. Each is powerful in their own right, but it seems like switching between them might be the optimal way to get the best out of her. As for exactly what his abilities are, I'm not entirely sure yet.
You may have noticed that there is a fair amount of vagueness in this article so far, and that's because this ad is simply a tease, something to whet your appetite. On October 11th at 7am PDT, XD will host a live stream covering all the finer details of the new season. So, tune in to Twitch or YouTube that day if you want to know more.
Since its launch last year, Infinite hasn't run out of updates, regularly introducing new content to keep things fresh and interesting. And it was nice to get started, as Will explains in his review of Torchlight: Infinite. So give it a read if you have yet to dive in.
