A brilliant port of one of the finest strategy games in recent years. There are roguelike and tower defence elements to this crisp, intense tactical experience.

Her Story is a narrative-driven game where you are put in the role of a detective, looking to go through a massive data-based of clips that were taken while a woman was interviewed. There are a lot of different conversations – some relevant, and some less so. She was interviewed seven times by police, so you will need to work through all of these videos, figure out what is important, and ultimately solve this crime.

Her Story is award-winning and was one of the first of its kind. It’s an amazing PC and mobile game, though I would recommend some earbuds when playing!

Aliens have already taken over the world and are now trying to kill the rest of the resistance members – you and your squad. There are two very related game modes. One is the world map, where you’ll make difficult decisions based on what’s going on at that time and sometimes you won’t have good choices. For example, aliens have attacked a settlement and one of your outposts. Wherever you go, the other one will fall. The other one is a tactical map.

That’s where you’ll lead your squad in turn-based combat against aliens and try to accomplish a goal without losing a member. Your squad will have different classes and it’s recommended to use different equipment so you’ll be able to answer whatever the aliens come up with. I love snipers, for example, but if I lead more than 1 or sometimes 2, mission is doomed to fail in case we need grenades or a shotgun. Combat is amazingly balanced, and difficult choices on a world map can lead to abrupt end, so pick your fights carefully.

There are plenty of brilliant mobile racers that justifiably claim to be console-quality, but none have delivered the real thing to the extent of GRID Autosport. It’s a deep, technically astonishing slab of premium racing action.

Despite being an imperfect port, Slay The Spire on Android remains the king of card battlers and an endlessly replayable roguelite masterpiece.

With unique gameplay and less-than-amazing-but-still-decent graphics (yeah, sadly it feels better on the console) this game could easily become close to impossible in the later stages. So if you’re up for the challenge, by all means, go ahead and give it a shot!

A dungeon crawler with a modern, zombie-filled twist, Death Road to Canada has you making your way across a ravaged America with a motley crew of personalities.

This game is as exciting as it is excruciatingly infuriating at times. Sometimes you can’t seem to catch a breather from the hordes ambushing you when all you really want to do is to take a step back and recharge (or just give your fingers a break). Somehow improving on the majestic original in every way without shifting the formula at all, this is a stunning Norse-inflected RPG with a highly tactical turn-based combat system.

The graphics and narrative are absolutely stunning, and there are no words to express just how well-done this adaptation is. Kingdom Two Crowns started life as a PC and console game, but its simple ‘run left and right’ gameplay means it suits mobile to a tee. Building up your pixel-art kingdom is a delight whatever you’re playing on. With its pixelated visuals and more than one approach to the gameplay, it’s hard not to tailor it to your own style and quickly fall in love with it.

Some might argue that this game feels even better on mobile, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves – for starters, it’s one thing playing it on a bigger screen and another playing it on a tiny handheld device. Still, it’s one game you should play at least once (if not, time and time again – that’s what we do)!

An outstanding game that started on PC ages ago, League of Legends is a title anyone might recognise in one way or another. When it was first announced on mobile (under the title League of Legends: Wild Rift), fans were ecstatic – many have spent thousands of hours in the game, and can now dive into one of their favourite PC games on Android at any moment.

When it comes to the quality of the game itself, Wild Rift is everything you need it to be and a little extra more – new champions are released regularly, the game gets updated almost weekly, and there is no shortage of events either. If MOBAs are your bread and butter, or you love playing them on PC, you need to try this title. Chances are, you will love it as much as we did! Cultist Simulator is tough to pin down. It’s a narrative card game with elements of strategy and deck building and a massive dose of trial and error.

The only thing that’s plain to see in this enigma of a game is the quality of its Android conversion. It’s absolutely spot-on, and that makes it arguably better on mobile because of its more… hands-on approach. Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is a stunning remake of a forgotten 8-bit platformer classic, brought bang up to date with beautifully sharp cartoon graphics. We’re extremely glad it made its way to mobile with vastly improved visuals and similar ecstatic gameplay.

A rare mobile game that can move you to the core. This War of Mine is a stealthy platform survival game that’s emotive, unforgiving, and truly heartbreaking.

If you’re familiar with it from the bigger screens, you might be taken aback by the slightly smaller visuals, but still, it’s one of the best PC games for Android that packs a punch (to say the least). Alien: Isolation is a horror thriller that has been around for quite some time. It’s now made its way onto mobile devices, best played with headphones if you want more of a terrifying experience. In this game, you will find yourself exploring a spaceship that your mother went missing in, 15 years ago. The thing that killed your mother is still on the ship and is now hunting for you. You can use weapons to defend yourself, but the ammo is limited, so you will need to ensure to save it if you want to make it out alive.

Square Enix moved heaven and Earth to make its joyful JRPG feel native to Android, including shifting the perspective to portrait view and implementing a new quicksave system. It worked.

The result is one of the best JRPGs that feel wonderful to dive into, despite the graphics being a tad old. Minecraft is the videogame that all the kids played before Fortnite came along, and also the game that almost single-handedly kicked off the whole ‘build your own fun’ craze.

It’s pretty great on mobile too, despite requiring some time to adapt to the touchscreen controls and lack of 1-action buttons. We mentioned that in greater detail in our Minecraft review though, so if you want to read about it, that’s where you’ll find our experience playing it. Still, it’s brilliant.

A brilliant free-to-play multiplayer brawler with more than a twang of Smash Bros. to it. Brawlhalla has been a massive hit on other platforms, and it plays just as well on mobile.

The controls are smooth, the graphics are clean, and the characters… well, they’re as great as ever. There’s no better competitive action-packed adaptation that lets you enjoy such a fast-paced brawl. We even have some basic Brawlhalla tips to help you out!

It took five years to arrive on mobile, but Game Dev Tycoon truly feels like it belongs on the platform. It’s a remarkably well-done simulation game full of clever writing and genuine suspense.

The game feels exactly how a dedicated mobile game should, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. create, expand and manage your own business and immerse yourself into this addictive sim – and read our Game Dev Tycoon review before you do all that. Another horror, but the last one, we promise. Little Nightmares has a very fitting title, as you’ll encounter horrific monsters and dreadful situations while being so tiny that everything looks scary enough already. Anyway, you’ll take a role of Six, in their small yellow raincoat, and try to run away from Maw. That’s an entity which is a home of countless twisted souls that are looking for their next victim. Guess who that is…

Atmospheric music will boost the feeling of dread that you’ll feel every step of the way, trying to run away and end this horrific nightmare world. In essence, this is a puzzle platformer that’s very similar to Limbo, but in my opinion, it’s a bit more dreadful, even though both games are worth playing, even if you’re not a huge fan of horror or platformers.

One of my favourite franchises came from PC to Android, and I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out. Sometimes PC ports can be clunky, but Medieval 2 is almost perfect. This medieval strategy has a combination of real-time combat and turn-based movement on the world map. You’ll pick one nation out of 17 playable and try to turn it into an empire through conquest, mostly. I mean, it’s called Total War for a reason.

Since it’s a setting where a lot was happening most of the time, you’ll use or encounter crusades, jihads, Mongol invasions and various other historical events that will spice up the gameplay and complicate your strategic planning. Combat is tactical, and there’s a lot of flanking, luring and chasing depending on who you decide to play with. Some nations are more straightforward than others.

One not in the end, it’s a premium title, but it’s affordable.
