A while back, Microsoft released an update to the Start menu that added a new Account Manager feature. It lets you view and customize your Microsoft-based subscriptions, like Office 365. But there was one problem: it made signing out of your Windows account a real chore. The Sign Out option is now in the Account Manager when you open the Start menu. To switch to another user, select the ellipsis (…). A list of other users will appear to make switching easier.
Microsoft is also making it easier to share local files. Now, when you search for a location in the search box and then drag a file to the result, Windows 11 will automatically move your files there. This is a neat way to move files around your PC and saves a few clicks.
Additionally, you'll now see media controls on the lock screen, giving you quick access to your music player while your device is locked. Additionally, this patch includes some battery-related optimizations, such as a new power recommendation that turns off HDR and a pop-up that warns you when your battery reaches 20% when Power Saving Mode is set to Always On. If you're interested in trying out these features, be sure to grab the latest build in the Release Preview and give it a try.
