Stardew Valley has always fascinated players with its exciting updates. The long-awaited version 1.6 was released in March for PC, but mobile and console users have sadly had to wait. Well, there’s no need to anticipate anymore because the long-awaited patch is finally coming to these missing platforms: just over a month before all the new content is coming your way.
Stardew Valley creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone recently took to X to confirm the release date. Barone also said that most of the update's content can be enjoyed with your current save, but if you want to fully embrace the new additions, starting from scratch might be a good option, especially since some of the new features impact the start of the game in unique ways.
Stardew Valley version 1.6 features new festivals and events, a new farm type known as the Meadowlands, and a mastery system that makes gameplay more immersive. The patch also brings exciting improvements like over 100 new lines of dialogue for villagers. Baron has also expanded the game's endgame content across all five skills.

Additionally, the update introduces Joja-themed endgame quests, giving you an alternative path to explore if you side with the infamous corporation. The Desert Festival is one of the largest, lasting three days and starting after the bus has been repaired. Two of the smaller ones include the Trout Derby and SquidFest.
