In 2021, South Korean developer NPIXEL released Gran Saga, an MMORPG that quickly became extremely popular in the Eastern tier. It was downloaded millions of times and was considered one of the biggest games in the region. Finally, in 2023, the studio announced that a global release was in the works, allowing fans around the world to enjoy the hit title.
Since that announcement, there hasn’t been much news, but NPIXEL has just released some important information, as we have a release date in sight and it’s not too far away. Gran Saga is finally coming to Android and iOS worldwide, giving you the chance to immerse yourself in the thrilling RPG storyline while taking part in some of the flashiest and most over-the-top anime-style battles.
As for the story, it begins a long time ago, when a massive war broke out between the Black Dragon Ismael and the Great Knights. After great fighting on both sides, the Great Knights emerged victorious. However, the entire world lost due to the impact the war left on both sides. The game begins centuries later, when the tale is now considered a legend, with you, a young knight who meets a mysterious girl.

The original title was praised for its characters and the overall quality of the game, as the voiceovers were done by rather engaging voice actors. In addition, the soundtrack was a collaboration between two masters, the famous Japanese composer Yoko Shimomura and the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. I expect the global version to be up to the same quality.
Gran Saga is set to release on the App Store and Google Play worldwide on October 30th. Pre-registrations are not currently open, but storefront pages should be live soon. Until then, you can follow their official X-page to stay up to date on all the latest details.
