Thomas K. Young’s Dadish franchise is getting a collected edition on mobile devices. You can grab Dadish 1, 2, and 3 on both iOS and Android. And if you’re unfamiliar with our editorial team’s irreverent platformers, let us give you a few pointers.

In Dadish you play a dad who is also a radish. I bet you can't guess where his name comes from. But seriously, the Dadish games are about as familiar and cozy a series of retro platformers as you can get. Don't let that fool you, though, because while they're no Super Meat Boy, these games are anything but easy.

You'll battle your way through over 150 levels, battle 15 devilish bosses, and unlock three secret characters as you battle to find your little radishes. It may not include the highly anticipated Dadish 3D, but this collection is sure to please newcomers and returning fans alike.

As I said, the Dadish games are a particular favorite among our editorial team. And at first glance, you can see why, as this is a no-frills platformer at its best, but without skimping on the difficulty. Having all three games bundled together is also a good value, and since they aren’t exactly drastically different as franchises, it’s basically a long game for all you retro platformer fans out there.
