- Return to old school point and click adventures
- Pixel art images and fully voiced dialogues
- Supposedly coming to mobile on November 27th
In case you've been holding your breath this whole time, you'll unfortunately have to wait a little longer for The Abandoned Planet to launch. While we initially expected the release date to be November 5th, Snapbreak Games has bumped up the expected release date to November 27th on the App Store, meaning it will be a few more weeks before you can find your way home from a wormhole in space.
In The Abandoned Planet, you can expect a vibrant point-and-click adventure where you'll traverse the vast interstellar unknown to find your way back from a distant planet. The appeal here, at least for me, is that it has a nice pixel-art aesthetic: a wonderful throwback to similar experiences from long ago. It's also fully voiced in English, so immersion is likely to be top-notch.
I personally had a lot of fun playing Snapbreak Games' Lost in Play too, so I'm sure this will be an equally fun adventure. We also made a hands-on video about Freshly Frosted, another of the studio's creations, on the Pocket Gamer YouTube channel courtesy of Scott Westwood, so if you're hungry for a healthy treat, you can check it out!
In the meantime, if you can't wait to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out The Abandoned Planet on Google Play and the App Store. It's free with in-app purchases.
