- The Abandoned Planet is an upcoming point and click title from developer Dexter Team Games
- It is published by Snapbreak, who also published Boxes: Lost Fragments
- The game takes you to an alien world where you must try to find your way home.
Publisher Snapbreak Games has unveiled the latest addition to its roster, with solo developer Jeremy Fryc of Dexter Team Games taking on his point-and-click adventure The Abandoned Planet. Taking you to, well, an abandoned planet, you’ll find gorgeous 2D pixel graphics and fiendish puzzles in this upcoming iOS and Android title.
Described as a love letter to classic adventure games like Myst and Riven, as you might expect, The Abandoned Planet sees you play as an astronaut launched through a wormhole and crash-landed on an isolated alien world. You must explore the vast landscape, discover what happened to the planet's missing inhabitants, and hopefully find your way home.
The Abandoned Planet is fully voiced and will be released on November 5th for the iOS App Store and Google Play, with pre-orders now open! You may remember the publisher Snapbreak from previous games like Boxes: Lost Fragments.
Pixel me
I like the look of The Abandoned Planet, especially since I'm a bit of a fan of old point-and-click adventure games. I like the addition of some quirks like the pixelated silhouette animation and the unusual setting of a distant planet. Considering how Snapbreak has offered so much on mobile in the past, I hope Dexter Team Games' venture lives up to the hype!
