Reverse Gear: The 1999 polar adventure enters its second phase with a new six-star character!

  • Back: The 1999 “Farewell Rayashki” story arc enters its second phase
  • The newest character is the six-star arcanist Windsong.
  • A researcher of ley lines and an irreverent dreamer, she is considered by many to be an eccentric

Reverse: 1999 is ready to introduce phase two of version 1.8, Farewell, Rayashki, with the introduction of a new six-star character; Windsong. Bluepoch's time-traveling RPG is adding another addition to its cast of arcanists with this eccentric researcher. Not only that, but there's a whole host of other additions to keep an eye on.

A hunter and researcher, Windsong's study of ley lines has others calling her a bit eccentric. But given the content we've already seen in Reverse: 1999, this dreamlike approach to science may not be as silly as it seems. You can catch Windsong in the evocative new banner “The Intersecting Lines” debuting today!

You can celebrate Windsong's inclusion with the new “Boons of the Full Moon” event, which will run from September 13th to September 20th, with plenty of awesome rewards to grab. The 1.3 “Journey to Mor Pankh” version will also see a limited re-release, coming out between September 6th and September 19th, giving those who didn't get their first crack at it another chance.

While Reverse: 1999 isn't a huge reversal of the typical gacha aesthetic, I appreciate that it tries to push the envelope a bit. And while its exploration of real-world locations and time periods still has that anime feel, it's definitely fun to see Reverse: 1999 fly around everywhere from Australia to Vienna and now even Siberia.

And while we haven’t added Windsong yet, our most up-to-date guide is the definitive level list for all the arcanists in Reverse: 1999! So go see how your favorite stacks up.
