- Rec Room will debut on Switch on November 6th
- Previously, well, pretty much everything has been published
- Pre-registering before release will grant you an in-game reward
Rec Room, the popular user-generated content game, releases for Nintendo Switch on November 6th. Coming to console will mean it will be available on pretty much anything you can think of. Rec Room itself has a figure of 10 platforms, but is making a distinction between different types of VR and PC variants. But there's no need to be overly pedantic. Okay, maybe I was.
Anyway, you can pre-register your interest on the fancy page created by Rec Room. If you're happy to enter your email address or phone number there, you'll be updated on any developments between now and next Wednesday, as well as getting a free in-game reward.
Speaking about the upcoming Switch launch, Nick Fajt, CEO of Rec Room, said: “We've been dreaming of this moment for years and are honored to bring Rec Room to Nintendo Switch.”
“Nintendo has played a huge role in my lifelong love of video games, and I'm thrilled to be able to bring the fun and creativity of Rec Room to their platform.”
Rec Room has over 100 million lifetime users, a staggering figure. That said, I'm sure it'll do well on the Switch, where the combination of portability and a larger screen than most phones should appeal to gamers on the go. This assumes everything runs like clockwork, of course.

Of course, you don't have to wait until November 6 for the Switch version if you want to play right now. Rec Room is already available on the App Store and Google Play, where it is free. You can download it for your favorite platform using the buttons below.
