- Pokémon Go will host a new interactive pop-up event
- This event will celebrate the release of the Pokémon Pocket TCG
- Fans visiting Outernet London can open digital card packs
Fans of the various Pokémon games on mobile devices can celebrate for good reason this month, and that's because not only has the highly anticipated TCG Pocket been released (and met with huge success), but Pokemon Go is also ready to celebrate, it has said the exit. A new interactive experience at Outernet London will take place from 9-10 November and will be accompanied by special temporary PokéStops.
Outernet London is a huge events space that tends to focus on unusual and innovative experiences supported by digital. Essentially this is where all the weird and wonderful things that require large spaces and lots of technology tend to come together in the UK's biggest city.
Pokémon Go fans will be able to open Pokémon Pocket TCG booster packs on a giant, immersive screen, spin special PokéStops around the event space, and discover several rarities of Pikachu roaming the area.
Go to London
I'm sure this event will be great for those currently living in London, but for the rest of us it might be a bit of a journey just to experience it, no matter how impressive it may seem. However, as I noted in my other article about the recent surge in downloads that Pocket Pokémon TCG has seen since launch, I definitely get the sense that Pokémon is finally seeing the potential of mobile devices and indirectly linking their disparate games together. Who knows? Perhaps we could see an official release of some of the main series entries on mobile devices too.
