Regular readers of Pocket Gamer will know that we have released a brand new website called PocketGamer.fun. It's a site we built in collaboration with domain specialists Radix, with the intention of helping you quickly find your next favorite game.
So if you're looking for distilled advice, head to the site, you'll be greeted with dozens of great games, and download the ones you like. Alternatively, if you're happy to read a little more, we'll be posting articles like this regularly to update you on what we've posted on the site over the last week or so.
The joys and frustrations of MOBAs
Usually, I spend these paragraphs praising the particular topic covered, but this time there's a slight change. If you're familiar with MOBAs, you probably already know where this is going. It is a genre that brings with it the highest highs and the lowest lows. When your team clicks and everyone does their job, it's the best form of multiplayer that exists in gaming. But when someone is not very good or starts trolling, it becomes the most frustrating waste of time. So, rather than a warm recommendation about PocketGamer.fun, I bring you a fair warning. In MOBAs, there are good times and bad times, with the former eventually outweighing the latter if you can endure a few infuriating periods.
Get your annual dose of horror
Halloween may be over, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy a little spookiness for the rest of the year. Horror is forever, not just for October 31st. I guess that's the saying, right? We also celebrated the spooky season on PocketGamer.fun last year, so it seemed only right to do it again. This time we have a good mix of platformers, point-and-click adventures and first-person shooters. Type.
Game of the week
Pineapple: bittersweet revenge
Pineapple: A Bittersweet Revenge grew out of a thread on Reddit, something that would have seemed incredibly strange not too long ago. But inspiration can strike creative people at any time, even while mindlessly browsing the Internet, and, in this case, it led to something wonderful. Check out our Jupiter's Pineapple: A Bittersweet Revenge review to find out why it belongs on your gaming list.
