- Monster Train arrives on Apple Arcade as Monster Train+
- This high-level roguelite deckbuilder pits you against the forces of Hell and Heaven.
- Take a trip on the Boneshaker to rekindle the fires of Hell
With the relaunch of Retro Bowl as NFL Retro Bowl '25, you'd be forgiven for thinking that Apple Arcade launches today have already peaked. However, you'd be wrong, as the critically acclaimed roguelike Monster Train is set to join the subscription gaming service's catalog.
Set in Hell, your task is to drive a train carrying the last gasp of hellfire to reignite the flames of Hell after the forces of Heaven have forcibly extinguished them. To do so, you'll wield monsters, spells, and more, using the unique abilities of a variety of diabolical clans.
As you might have guessed, it’s a deck builder, and a good one at that. We gave Monster Train a rave review when we reported on its release a couple of years ago, and with Monster Train now hitting Apple Arcade, we’re confident it’ll open up a whole new audience to this hellish train ride.
Crazy train
Given that many Apple Arcade games have been exclusive to or developed specifically for the platform, we’re happy to see more titles go the Netflix Games route and become available to a wider audience through the subscription platform. This allows these games to find a wider audience than they normally would on mobile, especially when they’re fairly niche in terms of appeal.
You can find Monster Train+ on Apple Arcade, where the Last Divinity DLC is included in the package, offering additional content and a new clan in the game.
