Asobimo’s Metria has caught our attention recently, and despite a relatively small roster for a game of its kind, each of the featured playable characters has a unique appeal. But for those who care more about stats than other attributes, it’s all about knowing where they fit and what you should be aiming for.

Although set up like a traditional JRPG, Metria is more of a hack 'n slash. Instead of using a set of characters in a turn-based setup, you'll constantly switch between them during fast-paced, fluid battles against a variety of enemies. Spacing and dodging will be your friends, but being able to deal damage and use unique moves is also the key to success.

Considering that the roster is pretty limited at the moment, and there are no outright “bad” characters, we’ll be keeping the rankings at S – B. We’ll be sure to talk about this again when more characters are released, especially if Metria manages to find her footing and starts to make even more waves.

You'll also want to use our Metria reroll guide, but for the sake of overview, you should know that each character has an element that they have an affinity for. This increases their damage against enemies weak to that type, and means they'll also take more damage in certain situations. Characters also have four slots where you can apply buffs in the form of tarot cards, some of which provide extra buffs to certain characters or those with a certain affinity.

If you take a look at any character you get, you can open up the details tab to see all of their damage types, stats, and more broken down. We also have a guide that will walk you through the beginning of the game and explain all of the basic mechanics if you want to learn more!

Here's where our latest is located Metria Level List enter – we'll review the currently available characters, rank them based on our experience and usefulness, and discuss why we made those placements! So let's get started with…
