Publisher Secret Mode and developer Moon Lagoon will release a Switch version of the open water adventure game Loddlenaut Along with the game's “Goddles” update via the Nintendo eShop on September 19, the companies announced.

Loddlenaut first released on November 16, 2023 for PC via Steam.

Loddlenaut is an ocean cleanup adventure set on a living alien planet. Play as an interstellar guardian tasked with cleaning up the pollution left behind by a space-faring mega-corporation.

  • Explore an open world alien planet.
  • Breed aquatic creatures called “loddles” that grow because of what they eat.
  • Clean up nasty waste and floating debris with your bubble gun.
  • Unlock special gadgets to clean up different types of ocean pollution.
  • Recycle collected trash to craft useful items and upgrades.

As you clear the planet, you'll encounter axolotl-like aliens known as “loddles”. Protect them from polluted waters and feed them aquatic fruits while making their planet habitable again. Depending on their diet, a loddle will grow in different ways and develop unique traits and abilities that will allow them to survive on this polluted planet.

Included in this Release

  • Goddles Update – Explore an expanded planet with three new caves, each with a lost cave with a new rare cosmetic mutation! Delve deeper to discover the Goddle Grotto, a hidden sixth biome home to three mythical Gods. Use the new gardening system to collect seedlings, grow your own flora, and increase each biome's resistance to pollution. Plus, track the positions of all polluters with the new Global Pollution Tracker, expand your backpack with the new Inventory Capacity Module, and earn gold versions of your gear by completing various stages, which will eventually unlock a modified final scene.
  • Loddlepedia Update – Track your Loddle evolutions and see which ones you haven't discovered yet. Plus, enjoy a new drain ability, new personality traits, new biome diversity ratings, and a new way to soar around the ocean!
