A Tale With Hidden Depths
Goldman's Eternal Life is a lively yet dark adventure that combines legends, fairy tales and myths. It takes the genre at an unusual angle and delivers something unexpected at every turn.
You come to the Archipelago with a strange mission: to kill the God, a mystical creature that everyone talks about but no one has seen. To find God, you will have to delve deep into the many secrets these islands hold. You will discover a place marked by tragedy, full of eccentric characters and remarkable contrasts.
Upgrade your rod with new parts and unlock new abilities to explore the hidden corners of the archipelago and encounter incredible creatures.
Handcrafted down to the tiniest detail
Goldman's Eternal Life It's the result of years of work by people who love and appreciate the same cartoons, comics, and games that you do. We wanted to make an uncompromising 2D game of stunning beauty, so we went back to the roots of the genre and took the most difficult route possible – meticulously drawn, painted and hand-animated using classic frame-by-frame techniques. We didn't cut any corners and the results are worth it. In Goldman's Eternal Lifeno two rooms or views are alike. Every location, every object, every character, every visual effect — everything is carefully planned and executed down to the smallest detail.
Remember when you were a kid and couldn't believe your eyes the first time you saw a 16-bit platform? We want you to experience these feelings again, maybe for the first time.
Tap into the best of the genre
Far from mindlessly relying on clichés and formulas, Goldman's Eternal Life turns the genre on its head. The game carefully includes everything we all love about side-scrolling across different styles, trends and eras. And it leaves out all the annoying things that are pointless and waste time.
It's a challenging platformer that requires precision, but it never becomes a tedious exercise where you have to memorize exact sequences and execute them methodically. The key to success is improvisation and ingenuity.
It's a game that encourages exploration and will give you a sense of discovery, but it won't make you retreat in confusion after acquiring every new ability or artifact. It is not possible to spend a lot of time wandering around Goldman's Eternal Life without doing anything interesting.
Ultimately, it's a game with complex scenes, solid characters, and a multi-layered story, but it never bogs down in contrived poses or false pretenses. All the elements work to create an adventure that takes your breath away and breaks your heart.
Goldman's Eternal Life It will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch and PC via Steam. A release date has not yet been announced.
