Atari publisher and developer MNSTR Studio has announced Deadly Run 2089A new game based on the Atari 2600 and Atari 7800 car fighting game released in 1990. It will be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Deadly Run 2089Developed by MNSTR Studio, it uses Unreal Engine 5 to accelerate high-fidelity motion. Set in a rich post-apocalyptic fantasy landscape across four different global regions, drivers will race against the clock with 20 levels each featuring hairpin turns, branching roads, hidden shortcuts and explosive set pieces. The clock isn't the only thing you have to worry about when you're racing through badlands – stay alert and fight other enemies on the road with your arsenal of weapons, or knock them out of the way with seven different vehicles.

After a comet collision engulfed the Earth in deadly radiation, the remnants of humanity created fierce bands of steppe warriors. In Deadly Run 2089you join a group of intrepid scientists known as “The Engineers”. Your critical mission: deliver ARCs—advanced clean energy devices designed to clean the atmosphere—to major population centers around the world.

As you get behind the wheel of your chosen car, the urgency increases. The integrity of the ARC diminishes with each passing moment, but skillful maneuvering and daring driving will help the device recharge. Keep your foot on the gas and your weapons ready, as a new elite force has emerged determined to stop your progress in this post-apocalyptic chaos.
