Key findings
- AI keys are becoming increasingly popular in technology products. According to leaks, Samsung plans to integrate these keys into the upcoming Galaxy Tab S10.
- The AI button on the Galaxy Tab S10 will likely invoke Samsung's AI assistant, similar to other devices with their own AI buttons.
- While the AI button may be customizable in the future, given the proliferation of AI assistants in devices, it is likely that AI buttons will continue to exist in the future.
Tired of AI keys? We see them everywhere, from replacement keys on keyboards to mini PCs. Now, recent leaks from the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 seem to have shown that even the Korean tech giant's products are not spared from the wave of AI keys, and this one isn't even a copilot key.
Leaks about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 show that the AI keys are still active
As reported by Ytechb, leaks have surfaced regarding the Galaxy Tab S10+ and S10 Ultra. These leaks reveal what the devices will look like, including the keyboard covers each product will use. Everything looks pretty standard until you see the button that looks like a glitter to the right of the space bar. This glitter is the official logo for Samsung's AI, meaning that pressing the button will invoke the company's AI assistant, similar to how Copilot+ PCs have the Copilot button.
These AI buttons very often replace a button that is very rarely used, so even if you don't want to use Samsung AI, you should still be able to ignore it. However, it would be nice if Samsung gave its users the ability to change what the AI button does. Microsoft has finally allowed users to change what the Copilot button does, but with some limitations on what it can do. Regardless of what Samsung plans to do with its AI button, one thing is certain: as long as a device manufacturer ships an artificial intelligence assistant, the AI button is here to stay.
