- NetEase's Dunk City Dynasty Reaches 250,000 Pre-Registrations
- There are several registration milestones to reach before the launch
- It is scheduled for release on iOS and Android in 2025.
After going up for pre-registration just over a month ago, NetEase’s upcoming basketball game Dunk City Dynasty has racked up over 250,000 pre-orders, according to its official website. While that’s not a huge number, it’s not too bad considering it won’t be launching for iOS and Android until next year. On top of that, while it’s officially licensed by the NBPA, basketball isn’t a global powerhouse, especially compared to some of the well-known franchises found on mobile.
However, NetEase obviously has bigger ambitions for Dunk City Dynasty, as with everything it releases, which is evident from the pre-registration milestones they’ve set. Ranging from 500,000 to a whopping five million, they’re offering a variety of goodies to anyone who signs up ahead of launch. You can check out what’s potentially up for grabs below:
- 500,000 – Beginner Growth Pack
- 1,000,000 – Stellar Development Package
- 2,500,000 – Superstar Gift Box
- 5,000,000 – Star Player Rose
While Dunk City Dynasty won't be available globally until next year, some players managed to get some shots during the recent Closed Alpha Test. Some stats about it have been tweeted recently, mostly focusing on the most used players and other details. Unsurprisingly, Stephen Curry and LeBron James have been the main protagonists.
In case you missed our previous coverage, Dunk City Dynasty is a street basketball game where you compete in 3-on-3 matches. This means we can expect something a little more casual on the courts along with a relaxed approach to uniforms. Instead of traditional basketball jerseys, you can dress your players in trendy outfits. Likewise, you can also customize your court to give it that home-from-home feel.
Duck City Dynasty is scheduled for release in 2025 on the App Store and Google Play as a free-to-play game with in-app purchases. Interested? You can pre-register now by going to the official website.
