Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake details parties, professions, and monster arenas

Get the details below.

■ Party Up

In Dragon Quest IIIplayers can organize a party of up to four characters, including the protagonist, by visiting Patty's Party Planning Place at the start of their adventure. Just say a word to Patty and you'll be able to add any adventurers registered with her to your party. If you've registered any adventurers yourself, then you'll be able to recruit them to join your ranks here too. This remake also has a new feature that allows you to register party members to volunteer. Volunteers can help parties in other adventure logs (save files) linked to the same account. Create a party you'll be proud to call your own and set out to defeat the Archfiend!

-Downstairs you can talk to Patty and switch allies in and out. Head up if you want to celebrate a new adventurer or two.

How to register new employers

—First, you'll be asked to choose your new ally's name, profession, appearance, and appearance from four presets.

– Then you have to choose one of fourteen different hair colors for them. You'll then receive several stat-boosting seeds that you can dispose of as you see fit.

-Finally, you will choose what voice they will have; their appearance won't limit the types of sounds you can give them. It should also be noted that the main character and all their companions have their own personalities!

– The possibilities are endless!

How do personalities affect character growth?

Everyone in your party comes with their own personality, which will change how quickly certain attributes increase as they level up. If you're not a fan of the personality, you can always change it later with a book or accessory.

-The character's identity is determined at the beginning of the game, and the identities of their companions are determined when they register.

Helping Hands

This remake allows players to share party members between adventure logs attached to the same account. If you are interested, talk to Patty and select the “Helping Hands” option. This will allow other adventure magazines to sign up volunteers to help out parties. You will then be able to add up to one volunteer with their attributes, level and equipment when registering your party in another adventure journal!

—You can create up to nine adventure logs per account and have a maximum of one volunteer log per adventure log.

■ Know your professions

Everyone in your party has a profession, including the main character, and these determine what spells and abilities they can learn, how their attributes increase, and what equipment they can use. Try all kinds of professions to see what combination suits you best. Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake also has a brand new profession: wolf warrior. They know a lot about monsters and will help make friends with any creature that seems lonely.

— There are ten different professions specific to the hero, including the hero.

Monster Wrangler

Allies with this unconventional profession come into battle with a number of terrifying abilities. Not only can they learn attacks that damage multiple enemies, but they can also use abilities that heal their companions.

– Hit multiple enemies at once with multiple large rocks.

-Warcry: an ability that allows you to stun enemies, causing them to miss their next turn.

Hero

Only the main character can have this profession. They will learn sword abilities, Zap family spells, healing spells, and even spells that revive fallen allies. This versatility allows heroes to switch between attack and defense in an instant.

—Kazap: A fearsome spell unique to heroes that rains down powerful thunderbolts on the enemy.

Warrior

Excellent damage dealers who can arm themselves with all sorts of powerful gear. Their high HP also allows them to protect their companions during combat, making them a staple in most parties.

— The Sword Dance ability unleashes a series of blows that will damage even the toughest enemies.

Martial Artist

Giant fighters that are not only strong, but also open quickly. They prefer to fight with their fists or claws and take a lot of critical hits in combat.

— The Multifists skill allows martial artists to hit their enemies with four punches in a row.

Magician

Skilled wizards boasting vast wisdom and an equally vast MP. With a myriad of offensive spells, they can not only hold their own against enemies, but also support their allies with spells like Kabuff and Oomph.

-Kafrizz: a spell that burns the enemy with a large ball of fire. Wizards can cast all elemental spells.

A useful healer that can restore allies' HP and heal them from any bad status ailments like poison or paralysis. They can even resurrect fallen comrades!

— Clerics can use Multiheal when needed to help the entire party recover much needed HP.

merchant

Money earners who are experts in collecting gold coins and valuing items. Their unique skill set will come in handy both in combat and exploring the world. Sometimes they even take extra gold coins after the battle.

-Use their Dig ability while on the road and you might come across some gold coins or items. If you're lucky, they might even find a very rare item!

Gadabout

Party animals that heal and support their allies with a range of skills in battle. However, be warned: they tend to act on their own, but this can sometimes have unexpected, positive results.

-Although they sometimes disobey orders, their tricks can benefit the party in unexpected ways.

Thief

Experts in hiding past enemies and finding treasure in the darkest dungeons. Thieves have a number of spells and abilities that aid the party during exploration and can also perform attacks that cause status ailments. After a battle, they can also surprise you by stealing something from a defeated enemy!

— The Nose for Treasure ability allows thieves to find out how many glowing dots are nearby on the world map and how many treasure chests are in towns and dungeons.

■ Change professions to strengthen your party

Eventually in your adventure you will reach Alltrades Abbey, where you can give any character above level 20, except the hero, a new profession of your choice. Party members will revert to level 1 post-profession change, but they will still retain all spells and abilities in their arsenal. In short, the more professions a character acquires, the more things they can do!

-People come from all over to Alltrades Abbey hoping to change jobs and try new professions.

-Changing issues will return you to level 1, but your attributes will only decrease by about 50 percent.

-His own “fashion gooru”. Healizah can change characters' appearance, hair color, and even their voice for a fee.

■ A Very Special Job

Sage

Only those who have undergone intense training and attained true enlightenment are ready to accept the profession of sage. They are known for their abundant MP and can use special spells for both priest and wizard.

Characters can only become wise by fulfilling certain conditions. Keep changing professions and make your party as strong as possible!

– No one starts out wise and the way to become is shrouded in mystery…

-The end of your adventure will be full of dangers, but having a sage by your side will make you well. Their attack, healing and support spells will help lead your party to victory.

■ Monster arenas: where friendly creatures fight (remake exclusive)

The world is home to several monster arenas, where the friendly creatures you rescue during your travels can test their mettle in battle! Keep your eyes peeled for a friendlier monster as you explore towns, dungeons, and other areas. If you manage to win the tournament in the monster arena, you will win some special prizes, so do your best to assemble a winning team!

— Any monsters you rescue will head off to see Monster Monster Monty in the nearby monster arena.

— Some cities around the world have their own monster arenas, where you can participate in various tournaments. Each tournament has its own rank and you can participate in one as long as you pay the entry fee and have enough monsters to form a team.

— Teams consist of a maximum of three monsters, and you can set the tactics of your monsters during battles.

— You will earn money for every match you win. In addition, if you win a tournament for the first time, you will also get extra gold coins and gifts!

■ Clean All Hidden Stains

There are some hidden areas in the world that you won't find on your map. They are often marked by a prominent tree or some stones. If you enter one of these places, you can find some items, gold coins or even a friendly monster. Be sure to seek out these areas on your adventure, you won't regret it!
