- In it, you travel to the ruined Afterlife to save lost souls.
- It also features the musical talents of Snoop Dogg and RZA via producer Mike Smith's new group, Niosmith
They say you can't outrun death, but with the new Death Travelers, you can definitely give it a try. And best of all, on top of offering high-octane racing action, you can also hop to some classic beats from hip-hop's biggest stars.
In Death Travelers, your job is to save lost souls from a ruined afterlife as you race down highways. It's pretty simple gameplay-wise, combining simple obstacle-dodging runs with a bit of base-building, as seems to be the norm these days.
But what sets it apart is the group of musical talents who will be contributing some of their talents to Death Travelers via producer Mike Smith’s new group, Niosmith. Snoop Dogg, of course, needs no introduction, but old-school hip-hop fans will immediately recognize RZA, a founding member of the iconic Wu-Tang Clan.
Below you can listen to one of Niosmith's new songs that ties into the game!
Run for your life
While Death Travelers' initial gameplay feels a little rough around the edges, I'll admit to being surprised by the sheer production value that's been poured into the accompanying music. And while it's tempting to say so, even if the gameplay doesn't really stand out once Death Travelers leaves Early Access, I wouldn't be surprised if it manages to lean heavily on the fantastic musical talent it boasts.
