Coromon: Rogue Planet is an upcoming roguelike spin-off of the popular Coromon

  • Pokémon-style creature fighter Coromon is getting a new spin-off with Coromon: Rogue Planet
  • Brings the action to a variety of changing biomes with random events
  • This roguelike game promises to feature the same creature combat mechanics that made the original so fun.

Tactical monster fighting game Coromon is getting a new spin-off sequel in the form of the roguelike Coromon: Rogue Planet. This new game is coming to Steam, Switch, and most importantly for us, iOS and Android. We gave the original Coromon a pretty positive review when Shaun Walton took on this spiritual successor to the Pokémon series.

A brief look at both the trailer and the Steam page for Coromon: Rogue Planet confirms that the popular creature-battle mechanics that made the original such a popular way to experience old-school Pokémon will remain. But they’ll be joined by ever-changing biomes and a variety of random events that unfold as you move through each area.

We don’t have a release date for Coromon: Rogue Planet yet, however the Steam page confirms that a PC version will be coming in 2025. However, the original Coromon took around a year to arrive on mobile devices, but early word from official social media channels suggests that we’ll be getting Coromon: Rogue Planet in 2025, just like on other platforms.

I am

Coromone

I'll admit, I've never been a huge Pokémon fan, but I appreciate that there are a lot of people who really want a game that brings back some of the old-school charm. And since the newer Pokémon games have struggled with lackluster graphics and development, Coromon has a relatively large niche to fill with its colorful pixel art.
