A multiplayer first-person shooter Concord Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Firewalk Studios will be taken offline on September 6 as they “determine the best path forward” after a rocky launch, the companies announced. Consumers who purchased the game will receive a full refund.

Concord It was released on August 23 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. At the game's peak, there were only 697 concurrent users on Steam. PlayStation 5 and Epic Games Store information is not public.

Concord fans—we've been listening to your feedback since launch Concord I want to thank everyone who joined the journey on PlayStation 5 and PC and aboard the Northstar. Your support and the passionate community that has grown around the game has meant the world to us.

However, while many qualities of the experience resonated with players, we also understand that other aspects of the game and our initial release did not go as we intended. Therefore, we have decided to take the game offline as of September 6, 2024 and explore options that will better reach our players.

When determining the best way forward, Concord sales will cease immediately and we will begin offering full refunds to all players who purchased the game for PlayStation 5 or PC. If you purchased the game for PlayStation 5 from the PlayStation Store or PlayStation Direct, the payment will be refunded to your original payment method.

Customers who purchased from other digital storefronts will also be refunded. More information on refunds from Steam and Epic can be found below:

  • Steam Store – The Steam Store will issue refunds to players who purchased the game in the coming days. Steam will send a refund confirmation once it's processed.
  • Epic Games Store – The Epic Games Store will issue refunds to players who purchased the game in the coming days and will contact each customer directly to confirm the refund.
  • Other Retail Refunds – For customers who purchased a physical copy directly from a retailer outside of PlayStation, please refer to the refund process of the retailer where you purchased it for a refund.

After refund, players will not have access to the game.
