I find it's rare to see one of the more basic new releases appear on our radar. But as you might imagine, not every game is a AAA game, powered by Unreal Engine, in time and space. Luckily, Bullet Heroes! It seems to be the perfect little game for younger players.
Sure, I find it a little strange that something like this would be so cute, given the subject matter, but hey, what do I know? Bullet Heroes is soft-launching for iOS in the US and sees you playing as one of an elite team of snipers taking down cartoonish bad guys on your mission to save a city.
There are also what appear to be additional puzzle minigames that allow you to refill your ammo, as well as the occasional unique item to add to your elite, if slightly chibi, soldier. As far as shooters go, it's as colorful and harmless as any.
Shooting for success(?)
While I'm sure not everyone shares my opinion, I'm sure a more positive view of games like Bullet Heroes wouldn't focus on the less-than-stellar graphics, but on the fact that it feels like another game developed by just one person. game. And as much as low-end titles may occupy the ranks of mobile, it shows that there's an opportunity for everyone to get their game out there and hopefully get it seen.
