BTS Cooking On Guide – Tips for New Players

Tip #1: How to Best Organize Your Cooking Stations

One of the most important pieces of advice I could give you is about cooking stations. When you move to bigger and better restaurants, organizing your cooking stations and serving customers on time is probably one of the most important things to pay attention to.

The best thing you can do is this: as soon as you start a level, you should start cooking the item that takes the most time. Keep it ready for the customers and as soon as you serve one dish, start cooking another. If you know you will be serving the same dish to multiple customers, you could keep the station running non-stop.

Basically, unless a dish burns immediately, you have time to serve one and prepare another, assuming it's something customers order often.

Another thing you should do is, for example, when you serve ice cream, have the cones ready. When a customer wants one, they simply touch the type they want and replace the empty cone. This way you can always manage to keep everything under control and never miss a single dish.

Tip #2: Update Smartly

Upgrades cost Gold, and if you want to do everything on the first try, you should upgrade as quickly as possible. The game only allows you to upgrade items in Story Mode, since event items are upgraded automatically (at least, most of them).

I recommend that you always upgrade the kitchens that take the most time, so you can always prepare a lot of food and have it ready for your customers. The number of kitchens is always the best thing to upgrade before the quality of food, because even though it pays more, if you can serve more customers AND do it faster, it will make your life in the kitchen a lot easier.

You'll often see a symbol next to the item the game recommends upgrading, so if you're in a bind and don't know what to do next, try that. Oh, and don't forget to do the upgrades after each stage. I always finish all the upgrades for a restaurant before moving on to the next one, so I never leave any restaurants unfinished.

Tip #3: Focus on combos

Combos give you extra Gold and make customers happy, so before serving customers one by one, I recommend finishing a few dishes in advance and serving them all at once. Keep an eye on what everyone wants first and then get cooking: when it comes to serving, simply serve the completed dishes one after the other within a second.

You don't want to be slow when you try a combination, because then the combination breaks. Serve whatever is ready and proceed with the combination starting with the dishes that are instant (the ones you don't have to make yourself), then proceed with the ones you have made and take some time. At this point, you should have other instant dishes ready, so proceed with those again.

There is a lot of back and forth in BTS Cooking On, so you have to try to get as many combos as possible if you want to get through some levels. Even at the beginning, you may have difficulty in some stages.

Tip #4 – How to Unlock Photo Albums in BTS Cooking On

I ran into this little problem right when I first started playing, and it happened because once you download and play for the first time, you receive photo cards in the mail. These will appear in your inventory and can be added to the album. However, you will not have all the albums when you start.

You only unlock albums after level 17, and there are quite a few of them. Try playing a few more levels to unlock them all, and reach the second restaurant (level 30) to get the third.

How to get more Photocards?

To get more Photocards, you have to play the levels and get Purple Hearts from the customers. You can get them by getting a lot of combos and finishing the stage with extra orders, extra customers, extra everything. Also, you can change the Photocard Book (photo album) that you will earn cards for by tapping it when you are in the stage preparation window. Hearts do not transfer between albums, so you will have to unlock them all at the end.

Tip #5: Completing events should be a priority

Events are only valid for a limited time and if you want to get the rewards from them, which usually include exclusive photos and unlimited boosters, I recommend playing them whenever you can, especially when you have unlimited boosters. These will come in handy much more than you think.

I would also suggest saving all your event boosters, because if you come across an event that resets your progress upon failure (like the World Chefs event), you will need to use them to solidify your progress. Avoid using your boosters during story stages as much as possible and try to only use them for events.

Another tip you should know when it comes to events: whenever possible, don't use a booster early. If you're in one of the stages like World Chefs where your progress resets, don't use boosters in checkpoint stages. Since you can replay them without losing your progress, just use boosters in stages near checkpoint stages.

Tip #6 – How to Get More Gems

Last but not least, let's talk about Gems. These are the items, the currency, that you need if you want to buy more boosters. You can get Gems every day in your mailbox, but you will have to watch an ad for it. I recommend doing this every day, because if you run out of boosters, using Gems can give you a huge advantage (especially in the harder levels).

While we’re at it, you should also consider watching ads to unlock double rewards or other additional rewards when possible. The game offers quite a few of them, but you need every one of them if you want to play in events and even finish them.
