“It is a privilege to welcome a developer of Red Hook's caliber. Earlier this year, we set an ambitious goal for our future as a publisher – To make behavior synonymous with fear and embrace the environment. Dead in daylight with a library of similarly exceptional horror games. Our acquisition of Red Hook is another important step toward that goal, and there is much more to come.”
Stephen Mulrooney, Behavior Interactive Chief Product and CTO
“The darkest dungeon offers a natural complement Dead in daylight. Both franchises occupy unique points on the horror spectrum, and both offer their players deep, innovative gameplay and authentic, eldritch worlds. We're thrilled to add Darkest Dungeon to Behavior's horror portfolio. Not only because we are huge fans of the games, but because of the unparalleled creativity and passion shown by Chris, Tyler and every member of the Red Hook team.”
Chris Bourassa, co-founder of Red Hook Studios
“We found kindred spirits in the Behavior team. Both studios are Canadian, independent and dedicated to fantasy horror games. Where we differ is scale, which opens the door to new opportunities. Behavioral support will help us realize our vision for the future of Red Hook and keep us focused on making a difference. The darkest dungeon becomes the absolute battle of the dark fantasy genre.
Tyler Sigman, co-founder of Red Hook Studios
“Coming forces with behavior is exciting on many levels. They've shown a commitment to allowing our team to continue to develop Darkest Dungeon the way we know best, but using their considerable knowledge and resources. We are stronger together than apart. Critically, there is a shared love of Darkest Dungeon, and with the help of Behavior, we can delve deeper into the franchise.
