Null Games has announced the official launch of Athena Crisis, the studio’s “XCOM meets Advance Wars” strategy title, across multiple platforms. This modern take on the retro-inspired title features tactical, turn-based combat across multiple environments, where you’ll command dozens of units to turn the tide of battle in your favor.
To get your hands on Athena Crisis, you’ll only need to make a one-time purchase that will allow you to play across multiple platforms on PC, Steam Deck, iOS, and Android. You can try your hand at the single-player campaign or test your strength and mettle against others in the ranked and casual online multiplayer modes.
And if you're feeling a little more creative, you can even create your own maps with the campaign editor, then share your masterpiece with your best friends through a thriving user-generated content community.
“I became a huge fan of the Advance Wars series after playing the original game as a teenager when it came out. I wanted to bring back memories of the unforgettable feeling of trying to solve complex challenges while enjoying a beautiful pixel art game with great music,” says Christoph Nakazawa, founder of Nakazawa Tech.
