New Launch Trailer Game

ASTRO BOT

Let's kick off with new worlds and new gameplay, introducing Handy-D, the scrawny monkey on Astro's back that allows Astro to climb, swing and slam with his giant hands. It's a throwback mechanic that we've taken to a fuller level by mixing it with the main platformer.

You'll also find Muteki (Japanese for invincible), a fitting name for Astro's iron armor, which allows him to roll over spikes, fit into tight spaces, or explode like a cannonball! Finally, you'll also get a look at Astro, a tiny squishy mouse that makes the world and everyone around it feel giant via its DualSense wireless controller. One of our favorites out there!

ASTRO BOT

This new trailer also shows how the bots you rescue will affect the adventure. There are only 300 bots to save ASTRO BOT150 of which are PlayStation cameras. We put a lot of love into bringing these characters to life, so they recreate funny moments from their games. So no matter who your favorite PlayStation characters are, you're bound to laugh with them. Once rescued, these little guys can team up to perform group actions that allow them to further explore the hub planet. In the video, you can see several PlayStation characters working together to build a wall for Astro to reach higher places.

ASTRO BOT

And finally… the part many of you have been wondering and asking about since we shared our first trailer: Hero gameplay! So yes, at several key points in the adventure, Astro will receive some special abilities from some PlayStation heroes. In this video we can see how Kratos shares his amazing Leviathan Ax for Astro to use in God of War level. We won't talk more about it because we believe it's one of the coolest features you can discover for yourself. We just hope it pays homage to the original material both faithfully and entertainingly. We'd like to take this chance to thank all the game teams who put their trust and support in us to make this big PlayStation celebration possible.
