Arknights Tier List: Ranked Operators October 2024

Casters are characters who specialize in magic damage. They are usually ranged and are the equivalent of wizards in other similar games. When it comes to the best launchers, you can look at operators with large amounts of damage that can annihilate opponents in seconds (ideally speaking). Casters ignore armor completely, so to counter them you should build magic resistance. In this part of the Arknights tier list, we have ranked casters based on their strength and usefulness.

Contrary to what the name suggests, guard operators are not the first line of defense. Instead, they are powerful melee damage dealers who specialize in physical attacks: their defense is slightly higher than that of casters, but they are never as tough as defenders.

Defenders are typical tanky characters who will be able to stay on the front line (or in this case, back line?) and absorb most of the damage that comes their way. They're great for acting as a last line of defense when characters come rushing in, and if you pair them with some high-level healers, they'll be great.

As the name suggests, Medics are operators capable of healing – in other words, Medics are the equivalent of Healers in pretty much any other game. Ideally they are placed on a safe tile, away from incoming Operators, as in most cases they lack defensive or offensive abilities. This part of the Arknights tier list will sort the Doctors and the best ones will be sorted into the S tier.

Special operators, often called specialists, are those who can perform very specific tasks, such as setting traps, pushing, pulling, draining SP, and so on. They can be great at certain levels, but they shine best in PvP and as a CC utility. They don't deal as much damage as dedicated damage-dealing operators, so you'll need some damage dealers if you plan on fielding special operators.

Snipers are the equivalent of archers or any other long-range operator with the ability to deal massive amounts of damage in a relatively short burst. They typically have a high attack speed and can be single target or AoE focused.

Fans are, just as the name suggests, people who can help their team. They can provide buffs to their allies or nerf enemy operators, and this is extremely useful in PvP along with special ones. However, some supporters can summon minions, which is ideal when trying to add more operators to your team.

At the end of the Arknights tier list, we've ranked the Vanguard characters, and as usual, the most powerful ones are found in the S tier. Vanguards are similar to Defenders in the sense that they are tanky characters with DP recovery that can act as a primary defense line as they have a relatively low cost and DP recovery will constantly generate it.

We must take several factors into consideration to correctly classify all Arknight operators. First of all, we need to compare all the characters in the game and try to draw our own conclusions.
