AFK Football best players ranking: Rank the best in each position

AFK Football: Best Strikers Ranking

The players in the top two spots on the pitch have to beat the opposition defenders and goalkeeper to score goals. Some forwards are good at scoring, while others are great dribblers. There are a few playmakers in the mix, as well as a couple of free kick specialists. So, it’s pretty hard to rank this diverse cast, but I’ll try.

Level S

  • Ivan Maric – Dribbler and Goalmaker
  • Celestino Rebelo – Free kick specialist and goalscorer
  • Aerie Moran – Playmaker and Goalscorer

These three are the best options for the left attacking position. Not only can they score goals at will, but they can also help the team create more scoring opportunities. Ivan Maric, with his crazy dribbling, does not need much support from others to score goals. Celestino Rebelo is the best finisher in the game. Aerie Moran, the only female player in AFK Football at the moment, will form a formidable attacking duo with anyone.

Level A

  • Kenji Saito – Dribbler and Goalmaker
  • Leonardo Mendoza – Dribbler and playmaker
  • Zacharie Dubois – Dribbler and playmaker
  • Diogo Lopes – Footballer
  • Andre Hamadou – Goalscorer
  • Rafael Negrini – Goalscorer
  • Peter Mabaso – Goalscorer

Considering their attributes, some of these players should have been in the “Support” category. Kenji, Leonardo and Zacharie are more midfielders than forwards. They are good at creating play, but their finishing is not as good as those in the S tier. On the other hand, Diogo, Andre and Rafael are goal scorers that count on the team. They are only as good as the passes they receive.

Level B

  • Abasi Ahmed – Foul Drawer
  • Salim Alamari – Setter
  • Jeong Kang Dae – Free Kick Specialist

They are not the worst players, but you will have to build a system around them to get the best out of them. For example, Abasi Ahmed is a fall draw. He needs to be paired with someone like Jeong Kang Dae so that fouls can lead to goals. The same goes for Salim Alamari. He needs a Goalscan to pass to.

Level C

  • Viktor Helstrom – Goalscorer
  • Martin Quispe – Director

These are the two forwards you'll start with. At first, they seem like absolute beasts. But you'll see their flaws once you get into the higher leagues. Level these guys up to win the lower leagues, but don't spend too much on them.

AFK Football Best Support Levels List

There are only FOUR support specialists in the game, and all of them are Elite rarity. This is one of the reasons I use play-creating, dribble-attacking support players. Due to the low number of players, I have classified them into two tiers: S and A. There are no “bad” support players, but the S-tier ones are more well-rounded and work well on any team.

Level S

  • Jin Zhao – Buffer and director
  • Daouda Doumbia – Debuffer and Thief
  • Oluwatobi Joseph: blocker and interceptor

Three of the four support players can make things happen on the pitch by themselves. Daouda Doumbia and Oluwatobi Joseph can steal the ball from opponents and intercept their passes. On top of that, they are elite passers who can easily spot their markers. As for Jin Zhao, he is good at passing but is even better at giving a boost to the teammates around him.

Level A

  • Alanzo Delacruz – Buffer and foul drawer

On paper, he seems like the best support player in AFK football, but in reality, he is the one who needs support. Once he commits a foul, it's over. He can also buff the team's free kick taker, which amounts to very little if you already have a specialist in your team.

3

AFK Football best defenders ranked

In a mix of balanced defenders who can stop opponents' attacks and organize counterattacks, there are also some aggressive defenders in the game. You want aggression on a normal soccer field, but not on an AFK soccer field.

Level S

  • Min Yong-Ho – Playmaker and Interceptor
  • Andrew Adams – Point guard and thief
  • Davy Ryan – Playmaker and Thief

These three are arguably the best defenders in the game. In addition to their balanced defense, all three have playmaking skills. They can pass the ball out of trouble and stop opposing attackers without committing a foul. Min Yong-Ho stands out among the three because he intercepts passes instead of trying to steal the ball. Andrew Adams and Davy Ryan could be beaten by a setter, but Min Yong-Ho cannot.

Level A

  • Omar Ait – Fantasist and Thief
  • Yasser Gholam – Fantasist and Thief
  • Gio Maggioni – Interceptor
  • Dario Lubrano – Thief

While Omar Ait and Yasser Gholam are versatile defenders, they lack some qualities, hence the A level. They often misplace passes and are more likely to foul an opposing player when trying to steal the ball. Gia Maggioni and Dario Lubrano are a decent defensive duo. Dario can steal the ball and make plays. Gio can intercept passes and direct the forwards' shots.

Level B

  • Luuk Jacobs – Interceptor
  • Nico Araya – Thief

Nico Araya is a great thief until he faces a foul draw. He can handle the dribble, but a foul draw is his kryptonite. Luuk Jacobs is a decent interceptor but struggles against Ultimate passes and shots.

Level C

  • Abdou Kebe – Play Stopper
  • John Wiata – Play Stopper

Abdou Kebe and John Wiata are the ultra-aggressive defenders who are up to no good. They only know one way to stop attacks, and that is to foul. I never see myself using one of these guys. If you find yourself with these guys, put your best goalie in goal and pray you don't face a free kick specialist.

4

AFK Football: Best Goalkeepers Ranking

With only six goalies to rank, this is another short list with only three tiers: S, A, and B. Almost all of them are good shot blockers, but every goalie has some weaknesses. That's why only one makes it to the S tier. There are no bad goalies, so there is no C tier.

Level S

  • Jorge Ruiz – Free kick taker and stopper

Jorge Ruiz is the goalkeeper who scores and creates scoring opportunities. When facing free kicks and direct shots, he will immediately look to pass the ball to an attacker or support player. If you have a fall draw on your team, Jorge Ruiz will pass it directly to them. If the fall draw wins a free kick, Jorge will score from that free kick.

Level A

  • Ehab Fahmy – Flying Goalkeeper
  • Raj Prasad – Bumper
  • Javier Vega – Paratore

If Ehab Fahmy was better at dealing with long-range shots, he would be in the S series. He is good at stopping direct shots and free kicks and intercepts passes, playing almost as a third defender. Unfortunately, he is not very good at dealing with long-range shots. Raj Prasad is a good shot stopper but can't keep out free kicks. Javier Vega is the same but has good passing skills and can set up counterattacks.

Level B

  • Lameck Wanjala – Bumper
  • Jagr Dusek – Free Kick Taker

Both of these goalkeepers are very one-dimensional. Lameck Wanjala is good at saving direct shots, but can be beaten by free kicks and Ultimate shots. Jagr Dusek, on the other hand, can save most of the free kicks he faces, but struggles against direct shots. If I had to suggest one, I would choose Lameck Wanjala.

This is my list of the best AFK Football players for the current meta. However, things can change quickly as the developers are slowly adding new players to the game. Since its full release, two new players (Min Yong-Ho and Andrew Adams) have already been added to the game. As more players are added to the game, this list will be updated accordingly.
