Imagine: You've just started your beautiful, relaxing adventure in Pelican Town and want to create a prosperous farm full of all kinds of crops and animals. But where exactly should you place these barns and plow the land to maximize your earnings and get the most out of your grandfather's (now yours) farm?
After hundreds of hours spent in Stardew Valley, we found 20 of them the best farm layouts in Stardew Valley which should come in handy if you're looking to make something both aesthetic and functional. It doesn't matter if you want to focus on flower growing, animal products or just regular crops, we have a little bit of everything for everyone! For those of you who are fans of the genre, here are the most interesting farming games on Android and, of course, farming games on iOS.
Choose a farm layout based on the type of farm you start on
As you well know, there are 8 types of farms currently available in Stardew Valley:
- Standard farm
- Riverland Farm
- Forest farm
- Farm on the hill
- Wild farm
- Four Corners Farm
- Farm on the beach
- Meadowlands Farm
Each has its pros and cons: some provide better resources, while others… allow you to relax on the beach! Regardless of which you choose, designing its layout should be something you do from the start of each season (when crops change) or from the start of the game.
What is a good and creative farmhouse layout?
All the creative farm designs for Stardew Valley that we have shared in this article will give you some interesting ideas to use in your farm, so check them all out and choose the one you like the most.
In reality there is no good or bad design because in the end everything can be changed and adapted. We do have a few tips, though, that will definitely make your life easier (at least, that's what we've noticed from our several hundred hours of gameplay).
Try to maintain a storage area where you have multiple chests divided into categories
Even though it will cost you some wood, you should have a dedicated chest for each boat and storage: one for fish, one for forageable items, one for high-quality crops – you get the idea. You can do this and select a matching color for each chest to differentiate it from the others, or simply place a wooden sign with an object representing whatever that chest contains.
Use seasonal flowers for decor!
Every season, just like crops, flowers can change too. Try planting them early in the season and use them as decoration to give your farm even more personality. Oh, and don't forget to water them too.
The paths are not only beautiful, but they are also functional
Each path will increase your speed when you travel along it, so don't forget to use them when designing your farm. They look great and make you faster, so they're worth spending your resources on.
Use ambient lights: fire pits, torches, street lights
These lights are extremely important, especially at night, so make sure you place them in key locations.
For some room ideas, don't forget to take a look at the last page, because there we have featured a fairy dust room, a production room and even a tea room.
So, without further ado, let's take a look at all the unique farm layouts we have prepared for you!
