In addition to the usual gold bars, gems, dynamite sticks, and power-ups, you’ll see trash bags scattered around each running world throughout the Restore the Planet event. They’re bright pink and marked with a recycling symbol, so you can’t miss them. These trash bags can be recycled for various rewards, so try to collect as many as you can. They’re present in each main and subworld, but you won’t find them in the race mode. And every day between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM, all trash bags will double, so you can collect two at a time.

In addition to the pink Trash Bags, you will sometimes see plastic left on the road. A sad sight, but one that you can quickly fix by kicking the plastic into a recycling bin marked with a target. Run into the plastic and you will kick it into the target and into the bin, which will earn you a handful of bonus Trash Bags.

On the game's home screen, there's a treasure chest filled with coins, gems, dynamite, and trash bags. Tap it, then watch an ad until the end, and you'll be rewarded with a chance to spin the reward wheel. Tap the SPIN button and wait to see which prize it lands on. The good news is that during the Restore the Planet event, you get two prizes each time: a regular prize, plus an additional bonus amount of trash bags.

The process of converting your friends' waste into seeds and plant food begins by asking a friend to find and dispose of some organic garbage nearby. You may see a friend with a recycling symbol in their thought bubble, indicating that they are willing to help. Tap the thought bubble and they will go to the nearest pile of garbage to start cleaning up. You can wait a minute or so for them to finish, or speed up the process by watching an ad. Once they're done, a thought bubble will appear above their head with bus tokens, a friend pass, and a recycling symbol. Tapping this thought bubble will reward you with three packs of organic vegetable seeds and three bottles of fertilizer.

To start growing vegetables, tap the “Plant!” button in the rewards pop-up to go straight to the garden. Alternatively, you can select a character and tap the garden (or drag them onto the garden), then tap the gamepad button above their head to start gardening. Finally, tap the seed packets on the left side (or drag them onto the garden) to plant them.

After planting the seeds, they will slowly start to grow. However, you can speed up the process by applying some organic fertilizer. Simply tap the bottle or drag it directly onto the plants to help them grow faster. This may be enough to get the plants to grow fully, but if not, you can water them briefly with the hose. Once they are fully grown, tap the vegetables to harvest them and add them to your refrigerator.

The next time one of your friends is hungry, you can feed them the fresh, organic vegetables you helped grow in their garden. To have them sit at the table, you can drag them there, select a character and tap the table, or tap the knife and fork cloud if one appears. Once a character is seated, tap the blue knife and fork button. Then use the yellow arrows to scroll through the available foods and find the fresh vegetables you grew. Tap or drag them onto a sitting character to feed them.

After your friends have eaten, more garbage will appear on the floor somewhere in your house, and you can start the whole cycle over again. That's the beauty of the Regrow Your Food event: you come full circle and do something positive every step of the way. Cleaning produces seeds and food for plants, planting seeds creates food, and eating food creates more garbage to clean. During this event, your friends will always be busy and well-fed!
